In February Barber became the first under 17 male rider to finish the 200-metre flying sprint in less than 11 seconds, with a speed of 66.2 kilometres per hour.

And last week Barber wiped almost 0.15 seconds off that record in what was one of five gold medal-winning performances.
Barber also took out the Australian time trial, Kieran, scratch and team sprint events - the latter alongside fellow Dubbo Cycle Club representatives Mitchell Hines and NSW team captain Dylan Eather.
He also won silver in the team pursuit (alongside Eather) and Madison pairing.
His sheer dominance led to Barber being awarded the Australian U17 men's Champion of Champions jersey.
"To be able to break my own Australian record in the sprint at the National Championships was pretty special," he said.
"Then to go on to take the Champion of Champions award and bring the jersey back to Dubbo was a great way to finish."
After finishing second in the team pursuit with Barber and Eather, and earning another five gold medals to boot, Anderson claimed the U15 men's Champion of Champions jersey.
He named Barber as one person he's looked up to on his own journey to the top of the sport.
"It's really good racing with Danny, I've learned so much off him and to be able to train with him and the rest of the Western squad is great," Anderson said.
"It was good [having so many familiar faces around]. It let me be comfortable ... and it's good to see them going well as well."

Barber was one of six DCC representatives at the national titles, with the Dubbo team combining for a staggering six gold medals, five silver and one bronze.
It's a tally which, had they been competing as a state on their own, would have seen the Dubbo riders finish third on the national medal tally.
NSW captain Eather was at his consistent best, coming home with silver medals in the individual pursuit, Madison and team pursuit events in addition to his team sprint gold.
First time representative Mitchell Hines shone alongside Barber and Eather in the three-person team sprint.
Qualifying for the final in the fastest time, the trio had the crowd on its feet as they beat Victoria by a second to claim gold.
Hines added a bronze medal to his gold by taking third in the Kieran final.
Road champion Haylee Fuller added her first individual track gold medal to her large collection by taking the win in the under 17 women's points race.
The gruelling 50 lap race, which requires riders to sprint every ten, traditionally has a high attrition rate.
But Fuller showed her endurance and race craft to finish in first position.
She then added silver medals from the team pursuit and Madison.
First time competitors Isabelle Russell and Trent Hines had strong carnivals, learning a great deal from their national level debuts.
Russell won her way through the Kieran elimination events to make the final, finishing in sixth in that as well as in the scratch final.
Hines fought hard in the Under 15 men's points race to finish in fifth place, backing up to finish sixth in his scratch race.
