Dubbo Hospital will move up a notch when it offers radiotherapy to patients and has a cardiac catheterisation laboratory better known as a "cath lab", reports its general manager Debbie Bickerton.

She reports that the hospital will move from the B2 hospital peer group to B1, which presently includes Orange Hospital.
Stage four redevelopment of Dubbo Hospital includes the current construction of a three-storey clinical building.
It will have a critical care floor with a cath lab, coronary care/ stroke unit and intensive care unit.
The planned Western Cancer Centre Dubbo, which will be connected to level one of the new clinical building, will offer radiotherapy services.

"We will move to a B1 hospital," Ms Bickerton said.
"We will be exactly the same (as Orange Hospital) even though we already have more activity than they do without those services.
"This is already a much busier hospital compared to the numbers that go through Orange Hospital activity-wise."
