Therefore, it should come as no surprise their rivals can't separate them going into the decider.
Here's how the other captains see the RSL-Whitney Cup grand final going:
Ben Knaggs (CYMS):
Their bowling sides are very similar with each time having a strike bowler in Ben Patterson and Tom Atlee. But that batting is what is going to be the difference. RSL has much more depth in its batting lineup and a lot of experience behind them will win them the game.
Ed Haylock (Macquarie):
Colts to win in a low-scoring match. Their experience in big games will get them over the line.
Nathan Munro (Rugby):
Looks a pretty even game on paper. Newtown have a lot of fire power and Colts always seems to find a way to win big games. Newtown to win in a thriller
Corey McDean (Souths):
I think Newtown will get up in a close contest due to all-round talent and being able to bat and bowl all the way down. Their strong fielding unit will make it hard for Colts to accumulate runs. Although Colts will put up a fight because of their experience and being able to perform on the big stage. Newtown will rely on Ben Patterson with bat and ball, as well as Colts relying on Tom Atlee with both.
