The planned six-part web series will bring to life a story of a retired couple and their travel adventures.
Titled To the End of the Earth, it has roles in front of and behind the camera for anyone interested in film-making or performance.
The story follows a recently retired couple who leave behind their chaotic family to travel.
It is planned to be a comedy with elements of drama, along the lines of Australian television series Offspring.
Each of the episodes will contrast the experiences of the travelling couple with a family member they've left behind.
The web series is the brainchild of Peter Aland, a Dubbo Filmmakers founding member.
The group reports the response so far has been really encouraging, with many people without previous involvement in film-making looking to join the collaboration.
The enthusiastic group is keen to hear from actors, including people in their fifties and sixties.
Writers will gather on Sunday to get down to business and anyone interested in writing is encouraged to contact Dubbo Filmmakers via the website dubbofilmmakers.com
