Country Labor candidate Stephen Lawrence said he was 'delighted' to make a pledge to the people of Dubbo to commit $500,000 to rejuvenate the Windsor Parade area of Dubbo, if Labor are elected into government.

Mr Lawrence made the announcement next to Shadow Minister for Rural Affairs Mick Veitch in Dubbo on Wednesday.
The funds will go towards trees, landscaping the park area and creating footpaths.
"Country Labor understands that main streets and city entrances are at the heart of country towns and cities, Mr Lawrence said.

"Improving their look is an important step in energizing local communities."
In a statement provided to the media the funding would be allocated to Dubbo from the Main Streets Revitalisation Fund, part of Labor's Regional Jobs Fund which will be established with the $4.1 billion in proceeds from the sale of the Snowy Hydro to the commonwealth.
Mr Veitch said Dubbo 'deserved an entrance to the city that locals and visitors can enjoy'.
"We regard this as an important investment, working with the local community to boost the local economy."
