A number of injuries forced the Sky Blues to hand the Dubbo junior a contract earlier in the A-League season and he may score another first-team chance in the near future after centre-back Ben Warland was ruled out for the rest of the season.
Scans revealed a tear to the anterior cruciate ligament in Warland's left knee suffered during Sunday's loss to Melbourne City.
Tratt, himself back from shoulder injury recently, replaced Warand when he was injured midway through the first half on Sunday but couldn't stop Sydney FC slumping to a 2-0 loss.

Tratt will work to make the centre-back spot his own in the final weeks of the regular season, starting at Brisbane next Friday night.
It is a key stage of the season for the Sky Blues, who sit second on the ladder with just five rounds remaining.
"It shows the depth of talent we have in the squad to still be second on the ladder at this stage," Sydney FC coach Steve Corica told the club's official website, his side enduring a horror run of injuries this season.
"We expect (midfielders) Danny (De Silva) and Siem (de Jong) back for the Brisbane game while Jop van der Linden, Aaron Calver and Jacob Tratt are fantastic replacements for Ben."
Tratt has played seven times for Sydney FC so far this season after being signed in November and has scored two goals for the club in that time.
