The man responsible for a stabbing attack at Lithgow Valley Plaza on November 27 has been sentenced to a minimum eight months in jail.

Aaron Scott O'Donnell, 22, of Wuuluman near Wellington, was found guilty of reckless wounding in Lithgow Local Court on March 14.
According to police facts presented at court, O'Donnell was on parole when a fight broke out in Lithgow Valley Plaza at about 4pm.
CCTV footage of the incident appeared to show O'Donnell calling out to a 23-year-old man before approaching him from behind. A fight began between the two men before O'Donnell produced a knife.
A contract cleaner attempted to intervene, but O'Donnell broke from his hold. The court was told O'Donnell struck down with the knife, which was held in his fist, over the top of the 23-year-old's raised arms. He was stabbed once in the top of his left shoulder.
Both men left the area. The injured man drove himself to hospital to seek treatment, while O'Donnell was picked up in a car. He was stopped by police a short distance away.
Meanwhile, police received reports that a man had presented at Lithgow Hospital with a stab wound. He was later taken to Nepean Hospital for surgery.
