Buyers at the weekly Dubbo prime cattle market showed their generosity on Thursday, raising almost $6000 for the North Queensland Farmers Flood Drive.

Narromine farmers Malcolm and Tracey McIntyre donated nine head of cattle for auction, including Angus cows, weaner steers and heifers.
Auction organiser Tom Pollard, from Peter Milling and Company, said they were thankful for the support.
“It was very generous of the McIntyre family to donate cattle, particularly in the tough season throughout the local area,” he said.
The draft sold for a total of $5848 and averaged $650 per head.
“We had hoped to raise $5000 so to exceed this amount is a great effort by all involved," Mr Pollard said.
Proceeds raised will go to BlazeAid — a volunteer-based organisation that works with rural communities dealing with the aftermath of natural disasters like fires and floods.
Almost 300,000 cattle were killed in the floods and the cost of the disaster is estimated to be $300 million.
