Almost 1000 people from Dubbo and beyond attended the second annual event.

The Monkey Bar owner and festival organiser Tim Smith said the 2019 event surpassed the inaugural year's attendance figure of 750, which he described as "absolutely awesome."

Mr Smith said when you see that rise in numbers it provides reassurance that all the effort and months and weeks leading up to it was worth it.

"When you get those numbers and you've got breweries that are coming from inner-state… and they see the crowd that turns up it just provides reassurance for us that we're doing the right thing and two it creates more interest from them," he said.

"When they (the breweries) left at the end of the day they were all stoked with the turnout and were all like 'what date next year?'"

When asked if they are set on a 2020 festival, Mr Smith said "most definitely."

"We've already got a date in mind," he said without revealing anything.

Now the organisers will be submitting applications to Dubbo Regional Council within the next few weeks so they are well prepared for next year.

There were a few changes to the 2019 event, specifically the location, which was moved from Ollie Robbins Oval to Macquarie Lions Park.

That decision was made to provide a more family friendly atmosphere, shade and green lawn.

Tim said the location change was well received by brewers and festival attendees.

"As we said before the change was a no-brainer compared to last year.. but seeing it all come together with the weather we got on the day and the way people took note of what we said (bringing chairs, tables family), it just created such a good vibe, it was unbelievable, exactly what we wanted," he said.

The festival not only catered for local craft beer lovers, but families as well.

Tim said there was no issues on the day and that it was great seeing children at the event, having a good time and it not being an issue.

"Just seeing how well behaved everyone was and how much the kids enjoyed it, that cemented in our mind that we can pull off this family friendly event and not worry about idiots ruining it for everyone," he said.

The Dubbo craft beer lovers thanked everyone for all of their support.

"It really was well received, everyone was so well-behaved. It's amazing to see the support and enthusiasm that everyone showed," Cass said.

Tim agreed saying they were chuffed with how well it was received.
