Corresponding figures for state polls in 2011 and 2015 are 519 and 896, respectively.
About 12,000 people are expected to visit Dubbo's early voting centre in the lead-up to the election on March 23.
At the 2011 and 2015 elections, 6349 and 10,097 people, respectively, opted to "pre-poll" in Dubbo.

The early voting centre at Shop 2, 70 Talbragar Street, opened on Monday.
It will operate up to March 22, except for Sunday.
Its opening hours are 8am to 6pm, except for Thursday, March 21, when closing time will be 8pm.
Voters are being encouraged to "come earlier" and avoid last-minute queues by election manager for the State District of Dubbo, Paul Schenk.
