It was March 1989 when Tim Berners-Lee pitched a little project called "Mesh"; a database and software project he had built and described an elaborate information system based on links in readable text or "the web."
From there it has grown.
Today, most people can't go through a day without accessing the interwebs. According to the Bureau of Statistics, Australia has 14.7 million internet subscribers at the end of June in 2018 and eight out of 10 people use social media.
