Ongoing Nationals leadership speculation is frustrating Federal Member for Parkes Mark Coulton, but he says voters can be assured it's not distracting him from addressing their needs.

Former Nationals leader Barnaby Joyce put the issue in the spotlight this week by saying he was the elected Nationals leader and would consider standing for the leadership if it became vacant.
Mr Coulton confirmed he backs current leader Michael McCormack, whose leadership he described as "sound" and "professional".
"Obviously Barnaby has been making comments and my reading of the party room is that Michael has solid support," he said.
"Barnaby has very little support."
Mr Coulton said he understands his constituents are frustrated with constant leadership changes and politicians talking about themselves.
"I share their frustration but i'd like to reassure people I'm not distracted by this and it's not impacting my work focusing on addressing their needs like I have for the past 11 years.
"The people I represent have got concerns about a range of issues that impact their daily life.
"Whether it's the cost of living, drought, roads, access to healthcare or educating their kids.
"When they see the press full of speculation about leadership they get very upset because the impression is given that their concerns are not being addressed."
NSW Nationals leader John Barilaro echoed Mr Coulton's sentiments and delivered a blunt message for his federal colleagues as he fights to win a state election: "Just shut up."
