The pair both made centuries on Saturday as Newtown White scored a crushing win over Rugby Red.
The pair came together with their side wobbling at 3/55 but then completely took the game away from the opposition. Newbold made 116 while Bunt scored 103 to lead Newtown White to 9/295.

Liam Hartnett (3/31) then did the damage with the new ball as Rugby Red made 173 in reply, with Kieran Rosenbaum's 58 the top score.
Things were much more close at Lady Cutler 3 as CYMS White and Souths Lemons fought out a thrilling tie.
Toby Morgan's 40 helped Lemons post 8/149 and then CYMS finished at 9/149.
CYMS White was in real trouble at 6/79, Scott Dwarte had taken 3/20 early, but Peter Hyde (41) led the fightback. CYMS needed one run from the final ball but there was a runout.
At Lady Cutler South A, Newtown Black edged out RSL-Colts Coolbaggie by one wicket in the top-of-the-table clash.
Tom Peacock (41) helped Coolbaggie post 8/210 while Craig Pettit (4/29) stood out for the Black Tigers.
Dylan Hamilton then opened the batting and bashed his side into a strong position but couldn't find any support at the other end.
Ron Finlay (4/33) kept Coolbaggie in the hunt but Hamilton carried his bat and finished 68 not out as his side won with one wicket in hand.
RSL-Colts Paramount hung on against CYMS Green thanks to some tight late bowling.
Veteran Brian Carroll bagged a fine 5/31 from eight to keep Colts, who had Mick Davis top score with 57, restricted to 9/189.
Jed McIntosh (33) kept CYMS Green in the hunt early but it got too tough for the tail as Emily Atlee (5/14) ran riot. Her effort saw CYMS dismissed for 174.
RSL-Colts United scored a strong win over Rugby Blue.
Nick Crawford (51) drove his side to 8/166, with Bryce O'Mally taking 4/28 with the ball.
Rugby Blue could only manage 99 in reply as each of the six bowlers used took wickets.
Newtown Gold eased past Macquarie by eight wickets.
Evan McMullen made 45 as a strong all-round effort from the Colts bowlers dismissed Macquarie for 154.
Brad Freeth (54 not out), Trent Jacobsen (46 not out) and Jordan Richardson (43) then contributed to the clinical chase and victory.
