Involved in the Young Farming Champions Group and working in the wool industry based in Tasmania, Emma has applied for a NSW Farmers Tertiary Scholarship to help support her honours project and assist her in coming home.
"(The scholarship also gives me) a pathway to be involved in such an important organisation that lobbies for the benefit of all agricultural enterprises and is constantly looking for innovative farming practices."
Emma's love will forever remain in Western NSW and her goal is to return home.
"I love the diverse mix of agricultural enterprises spread throughout the area, and the strong focus on sustainable grazing and land management that is deep within the Western Division," she said.

"Lacking the rainfall for improved pastures, the Western Division farmers take utmost care and have the highest respect for their natural resources.
"For all the space within the division, it’s also a pretty tight knit community, making it an easy place to call home," She said.
The Tertiary NSW Farmers Scholarships demonstrate a commitment to their members and to the rural farming industry by recognising the value of education to the future our agriculture.
The scholarships were first awarded in 1993 to reward, promote and encourage excellence in tertiary studies from members’ families.
Each year the association awards five scholarships of $4,000 each to members who are eligible for the scholarships.
