More construction progress on the Devil’s Elbow Brewery is coming this week when the walls are installed, general manager Brendon O’Sullivan said.
The all-day cafe and function venue including brewhouse is being built on a greenfield site in Blueridge Business Park.
The first of the company’s shipping containers have also arrived with more tangible signs the project, a long-held dream of a group of Dubbo friends, is about to become a reality.
Mr O'Sullivan reported it was anticipated the cafe would be operating in the new premises from May and the brewery would start operations in June.
The development is being managed by Dubbo-based construction company Blueridge Projects, headed up by Paul Knaggs.
Most materials and all services required for the construction phase of the venue are being sourced from local contractors, the company reports.
Mr O’Sullivan reports team members are excited to see their vision taking shape.
“We were also thrilled to see the first of our shipping containers safely arrive with our kegs, brewkit parts plus several years’ worth of coffee cups with our new branding,” he said.
“With the structural steel supports in place, walls are going up over the coming days.
“It feels good to be at this stage of our development.”
We are really pleased with local interest in our project and we will be on the lookout for some great people to join our hospitality team in the coming months.

Devil’s Elbow Brewery has anticipated the project will create 30 to 40 jobs.
Recruitment is getting closer.
“We are really pleased with local interest in our project and we will be on the lookout for some great people to join our hospitality team in the coming months,” Mr O’Sullivan said.
The message for future patrons is that the Devil’s Elbow beer recipes “are being finalised and safely guarded” with the new head brewer.
The team looked forward to sharing more details about "their beer, brands and employment opportunities" in the coming weeks.
