Individuals from around the region have been honoured for just a handful of their attributes, showcasing what our region is all about.
The stories behind each of the winners point to the 'right stuff' of which our region is made up of.
The list was long with seven recognised for their work bettering their communities, four residents given NSW Representative Sport Awards and two recognised with Local Achievement Awards.
Another seven residents from the electorate received volunteer awards, and two others were recognised for 10 years as trustees.
Camilla Ward was then announced as the Dubbo Electorate's Women of the Year.
The title was bestowed upon her by Dubbo MP Troy Grant for her work with children through Black Box Creatives - the youth theatre company she founded.
With the arts such an integral part of our community, Ms Ward said during the ceremony she was delighted to be able to shine a light on art.
"If I can be the spokesperson or someone who helps us highlight that to keep the conversations going and the development of our own stories our own creativity, the sky is the limit," she said.
Each award recipient was thanked for their contributions to the communities they represented.
And while they don't do it for the recognition, we hope it's been a nice one for each of them to receive.
We can't forget, there are many more, who may not have been recognised, but still drive the region and community forward.
They are all winners, too.
Congratulations to each and everyone.
