With three rounds remaining before the final the Vics are still almost 10 points clear of second-placed NSW after edging out the Bulls by three wickets at St Kilda's Junction Oval.
The victory was led by a player-of-the-game effort from opening bat Marcus Harris, the Australian Test gun notched 95 in the first dig and backed that up with a whopping 175 in the second as his side flipped a 97-run first innings deficit to win.
That came after Charlie Humphrey (93) and Michael Neser (75 not out) led the Bulls' first innings of 441, with Victoria posting 344 in reply thanks to Harris and Nic Maddinson (108).
Queensland then replied with 7-202 declared, setting the Vics 300 exactly to win, a huge chase Harris and Matt Short (60) made sure they were successful in.
Tremain was strong with the ball, as he has been for the past three summers.
The Yeoval product and former Western Zone tearaway snared 3-93 from almost 31 overs in the first innings and backed that up with 2-39 from 11 in the second, supporting spinner Jon Holland (5-72) superbly in the latter.
With 33 scalps at an average of 24.03 Tremain is third on the competition's wicket-taking stakes.
