Hollywood writer Shirley Pierce will be in Dubbo on Monday to speak on her time in the industry.

Ms Pierce will be in the city with her company River Dreaming Entertainment and CRC Partners Australia to scout locations for a new feature film.
She has also offered to undertake a Q&A session with aspiring writers and film makers, which will be held at the Western Plains Cultural Centre at 5pm.

Regional Development Australia Orana director Megan Dixon said it was an amazing opportunity to learn first-hand from an acclaimed Hollywood writer.
"Shirley has a very impressive track record. In her ten years writing for Walt Disney Studios, she worked on over two dozen projects ranging from the features Dinosaur, Home on the Range and Meet the Robinsons, to the live-action Holocaust drama Misha," Ms Dixon said.
The Q&A is a free community event with night nibbles and drinks provided.
