DNC held its annual Seniors' Expo at the Dubbo RSL. Community Home Support Program coordinator Lisa Johnston said the event was a chance to highlight local service providers.
"It can be very daunting when you've got someone ready to go into aged care or who needs home care. This is a more gentle way to have a little look and get some brochures and have a chat and see what options there are," she said.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
Ms Johnston said while the number of stalls at this year's event had increased, the number of attendees was slightly down, which could have been because it was earlier in the year than normal.
Despite the lower attendance, the DNC still plans to keep the Senior's Expo as an annual event.
Ms Johnston said she was grateful to the Dubbo RSL for their help with the expo.
