Dubbo trainer Lew, made famous by his exploits with Miracle Mile and Inter Dominion placegetter Karloo Mick, has had a string of strong horses and Dazzle Me look set to join that list.
A three-year-old from New Zealand, Dazzle Me won his only start in his home country before making the move to Dubbo.
ALSO IN RACING:
He won a trial earlier in the month and on Wednesday he won by a massive 22.2m in the Stevenson's Hydraulics Three-Year-Old Pace (2120m).
He was aided by a brilliant drive from Mat Rue, who caught the field napping midway through the race and took advantage of some slow pace to shoot around the outside from deep and take the lead.
Lew would have taken plenty of promise from the meeting after another debutant, Karloo Bodacious, running second in the HRNSW Guaranteed Two-Year-Old Pace (1720m).
They were his only two horses in on the night.
Goulburn trainer-drive Mark Hewitt had another of the meeting's strong winners, Jeradas Delight producing a tough run as favourite in the Team Teal Supporting WCF Best of the Bush Heat (1720m).
Jeradas Delight ($1.50) stalked the lead early on before taking control and holding off the chasing pack.
