NSW State Leader Mark Latham said One Nation is looking at candidate applications.
“We are still hoping to field a candidate in Dubbo," he said.
"There are still weeks to go before nomination day.
"The message to anyone interested is: we are actively looking for a strong candidate.”
Latham said he knows there is support for One Nation in Dubbo and they take that support seriously.
Mr Latham has taken notice of a Daily Liberal poll that had One Nation support at 10 per cent even without a candidate.
"There is tremendous support out there for One Nation," he said.
"Let's hope this brings good people to their feet. The process of sourcing quality candidates is extensive - I hope good people come forward and express their interest."
Mr Latham said One Nation are still looking at candidate applications and called for anyone interested in running to get an application in soon.
"If you think you have what it takes and would like to throw your hat in the ring, please go to NSW One Nation website and fill in an ‘Expression Of Interest’," he said.
