The Fishies’ title defence got underway last week and after a slow start the men in green and white scored a convincing win at Cowra.
That result has set-up a second round date with the Glebe Burwood Wolves.
The Wolves are certain to pose a bigger test in the quarter-final match-up, having finished last season as a semi-finalist in the Ron Massey Cup.

It was another Ron Massey Cup side, the Guildford Owls, that CYMS beat in last season’s grand final. That result gave the Fishies the title of best club side in the state.
Glebe Burwood defeated Blacktown Workers in their opening match.
Jarryn Powyer’s side is one of only two regional sides left in the competition, with the Tweed Heads Raiders taking on Guildford on Saturday.
The other matches see the Wyong Roos tackle the Wentworthville Magpies, and Cabramatta take on the Western Suburbs Magpies.
CYMS is expected to field a different side to the one that beat Cowra this weekend at Apex, with representative commitments and unavailability affecting things in the lead-up to Powyer's first game as captain-coach.
“It’ll be a different team next week, and it’ll be a different team the week after,” Wes Maas, CYMS' director of football, said after the win at Cowra.
Kick-off at Dubbo on Sunday is at 2pm.
