“The grant will cover an extension to the office meeting room, as well as soundproofing, assisting those who are deaf or hard of hearing to more easily listen to discussions,” said federal Member for Parkes Mark Coulton.
“This funding is an excellent investment in the Hear our Heart Ear Bus Project, which provides free ear health education, hearing testing and ear specialists to children in Dubbo and surrounds.”

Mr Coulton announced Dubbo and District Parent Support Group for Deaf/Hearing Impaired had been successful in its application for small works capital funding under the $22.5 million round four of the federal government’s Stronger Communities Program.
Each of the nation’s 150 federal electorates gets up to $150,000 for a maximum of 20 projects. Successful applications receive between $2500 and $20,000.
