The ABBA Show is heading back to Australia for a full-scale concert experience that features over two hours of live music. The sparkling costumes, together with the music, will have fans thinking they’re seeing the real band.
Audience’s will move and groove in their seats to classic ABBA hits such as Dancing Queen, Knowing Me Knowing You, Ring Ring, The Winner Takes It All, Fernando, Super Trouper and more.
The starring cast of the show, including Britain's Hannah Pocock as Agnetha and Jenna Ball as Frida, Australia’s Zach Coombs as Bjorn and South African Andre Behnke as Benny.
Ms Ball said the show is so much fun which is why audiences across the world love it.
“We love getting the crowd singing and dancing, and creating an atmosphere that’s truly electric,” she said.
The band also like to do a meet and greet with fans after the show.
“It’s so much fun, it’s just a great night,” Ms Ball said.
ABBA fans in Dubbo were encouraged to get out their best disco costumes for the March 31 show at the Dubbo Regional Theatre.
“Dubbo should expect a night of great music,” Ms Ball said.
Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre manager Linda Christof said the show is selling well.
“We are easily going to get more than 400 to the show on ticket sales so far,” she said.
“Any ABBA show is a huge draw-card because it hooks in a wide range of people, i think it’s the nostalgia the costumes, the harmonies, the show ticks all the boxes.
“True ABBA fans can’t get enough of these types of tribute performances.
“It’s great to have such a strong interest in the show to kick off the new year, so get in a get the remaining tickets before they sell out.”
Ms Christof encouraged those attending the show to dress up for the evening.
“Our theme for the season is putting on the glitz so perhaps for this show our audience instead of putting on the glitz could put on the flares,” she said. “We really enjoy when our patrons get into the spirit of a show.”
Tickets for the show are on sale now. The ABBA Show will perform at the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre on March 31.
