The headline may have sounded like the start of a joke, but the story was much more serious.
This week our top story held the headline Irish, Canadian and Aussie charged over Dubbo brawl, with the three people charged by police after getting into a fight outside a licensed premises in Dubbo.
Police were called to the incident, telling us they don’t condone any violence at or outside any licensed premises in the city.
“We’re working very hard to reduce violence and patron behaviour such as that will not be tolerated,” Orana Mid-Western Police District Sergeant Jill Gibson said in the interview.
We hope this weekend patrons behave a little better than last, though it always seems to be just a few that ruin it for everyone.
