The city is not the only one with other central west towns, except Lithgow enjoying the same low prices.
NRMA spokeswoman Rebecca Page said the decline was because of the geopolitical factors and oversupply of fuel.
“Prices have come down a little bit since Christmas and we welcome this decline,” Ms Page said.
Dubbo residents have seen the steepest decline in average fuel prices across the region, according to the NRMA.
Fuel fell from 144.3 cents on December 23 to 130.4 cents on February 3.
Data from the NRMA also showed the average petrol price in Bathurst has declined from 137.4 cents per litre on December 23 to 132c on February 3.
Similarly, the average petrol price in Orange has come down from 141.5c on December 23 to 132.2c on February 2 – registering the second highest decline in the region since Christmas.
Prices in Bathurst, Orange and Dubbo are currently identical to those in Lithgow, which usually has the lowest fuel prices in the region.
Across the region for Ethanol 94 (E10) the cheapest price is 132.9 in Mudgee, while in Narromine it’s 119.9 and in Nyngan it’s 128.7.
Gilgandra’s cheapest fuel is 129.4 while in Wellington the cheapest is 119.9.
Ms Page said petrol was very expensive in 2018, but the current geopolitical factors are unlikely to push prices to that level.
Petrol prices had touched a four-year high in the most Central West cities in October last year, with the NRMA saying at the time they weren’t tipped to come down until Christmas.
In Dubbo it reached 163.2 cents, higher than other cities where it reached 156.2 in Bathurst and 156.9 in Bathurst.
In October 2017 petrol prices in Dubbo were just 129.7 cents, while in Bathurst they were 131.5 and 126 in Orange.
