A male, named Akachi, and female, Volta, have been born in the past fortnight, with a third calf expected within the coming weeks.
There are now 14 giraffe calves on exhibit spanning four generations.

Keeper Nick Bourke said most mornings the calves would greet each other and have a run around. The mums would take it in turns to look after the young.
“They tend to hang out near the back away from the public. Once they find their legs and get a bit stronger they’ll follow the herd whether they go,” Mr Bourke said.
Mothers Asmara and Tuli are both experienced. Mr Bourke said Tuli was protective and kept her calf close while Asmara was more relaxed, allowing her baby to explore on her own.
Both calves will stay in Dubbo.
“We have plans for the future to expand our giraffe enclosure and make it bigger so we are planning on breeding more giraffe to make it a bigger herd for everyone to enjoy,” Mr Bourke said.
