Inspired by the wall hangings in Twisted Sisters in the WPCC gallery, participants made their own no-sew room banner on January 23.
Using various materials, they decorated and personalised their own banner.
The young Berger siblings created banners out of their hobbies and interests.
Zayden Berger, 12, was inspired by his interest when creating his banner.
While fifteen-year-old Sally James created a banner inspired by colour.
Children were able to take it home to hang on their wall or door at home.
Workshop co-ordinator Alicia O’Connor has been coming to the WPCC for many years to hold school holiday sessions.

She said creating the banners was a great way to see their own personalities come through in their designs.
Then on January 25, boys and girls used newspaper and plaster of Paris bandaging to unleash their creativity at another WPCC school holiday workshop.
Tutor Michelle McKay said the participants had open choice for their subject, taking inspiration from the gallery.
“It’s messy, clay or plaster of Paris, a new experience that opens up their creativity,” she said.
The WPCC summer holiday workshop series also included animal puppets, animal collage and wearable art.
