Crews were called to a car fire on Minore Road on Thursday evening.
Superintendent Lyndon Weiland said a car had been stolen before being driven into long grass and set alight. The fire caused a few issues for firefighters but they were able to control it quickly.
No other incidents have been reported.
The incident comes after firefighters appealed to the public earlier this week to be aware of their actions as the temperatures continue to rise.
Mr Weiland said earlier they were concerned about lightning strikes from a storm meant to arrive on Wednesday and Thursday evening, however that did not eventuate.
Mr Weiland said storms were expected to hit the southern area on Friday evening, but they were also expecting the winds to pick up around the Orana region on Friday as well.
