NSW Police rural crime officers said that between 7am and 7pm on Sunday, January 13 an unknown person/s entered a property on the Barrier Highway around 80 kilometres west of Cobar by removing and stealing a locked chain from a gate.
“The person/s dragged a goat into a vehicle and left the location,” state rural crime co-ordinator Detective Inspector Cameron Whiteside said.
“Markings on the ground suggest that the goat was dragged approximately 100 metres.
“Police have examined forensic evidence at the scene and are seeking information from members of the public in relation to these crimes.”
