The ‘Vanda and Young Songbook’ is a concert that celebrates the incredible songwriting of Harry Vanda and George Young.
The duo wrote timeless Australian songs such as Friday on My Mind, Falling in Love Again, Down Among the Dead Men, Love Is In The Air, Pasadena, Yesterday’s Hero and It’s a Long Way To The Top, with .John at the heart of their hit making era.
The AllStar band was first formed in 1975 for Stevie Wright, but the band later reformed with John.
The band features two of the original members in Warren ‘The Pig’ Morgan who cut his teeth in the original Aztecs and Ronnie ‘Rockwell T James’ Peel, of The Missing Links and La De Das fame.

John Paul Young is one of the most iconic artist in Australian music's history, with over four million world wide album sales and numerous awards which garnered him an induction into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2009.
John said the ‘Vanda and Young Songbook’ show is more than just a tribute, but more paying homage, as he and some AllStar Band members were heavily involved with Harry Vanda and George Young.
The show, which will be held at the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre, will have audiences up and dancing like it's 1979.
“I get the comment all the time (from audiences) that ‘you’ve given me back my youth’ and I just love to hear that,” John said.
“It’s wonderful to see people… in their 60s and 70s carrying on like they’re still 18. It’s just marvelous, they just love it.”
The show will come to Dubbo on Saturday, March 30, but it is certainly not the first time John has performed in the city.
