The Tigers batted first and posted a get-able 139 of its 20 overs.
But the Blasters never got a look in from the moment they took to the crease, losing all 10 of its wickets for 33 runs of only 10.3 overs.
Blasters captain Marty Jeffrey was bitterly disappointed as he thought a target of 140 would require “normal" batting to chase down.
"It was pretty poor batting from our point of view. We’re not blaming things on the pitch or anything - we knew what the pitch played like in the first innings and saw how tough the Tigers did it,” he said.
“We thought to restrict them to 140 - which was a lot in the end - and they scored a lot of those in the last five overs, I think we just saw ourselves rolling through at the start and saw they were only going at like three [runs] an over, we thought it was just going to be normal batting, but our shot selection on that pitch was poor and as a batting unit we had plans to play straight but I just don't think it happened.
"We had a lot of young guys in the team who are under 16, so the only way for those guys to get first-grade experience and experience of different wickets is to play and be bowled out for 33. Not many of them would have seen that, as long as we learn from that and move forward. But at the end of the day, there's no excuse to be bowled out for 33.
Despite the substantial loss, Jeffrey said the club would continue with its youth policy.
"Everyone of our juniors who played and play in that side - and there’s even more that could have easily come in - it's just giving them the experience and in three or four years they're going to be the ones who are putting their hands up, batting in the top order and taking the ball in first grade,” he said.
"It's time to bring them in now so we can move and look forward to those next four or five years."
In the other match played on Friday night, the Castlereagh Hornets (162) defeated Rugby (159). Adam Wells was impressive with the bat for the Hornets, scoring 41 not out. Mat Finlay was the pick of the Hornets bowlers taking 3/8. Aidan Bennewith performed well for Rugby with the bat top scoring with 59.
