“Ben Patterson’s plane arrives lunchtime so I think he plans on coming to play when he lands in Dubbo, he will just have come back from a big tournament so it’s good for him to come along and support us like that,” Newtown skipper Mat Skinner said.
Skinner said a pre-Christmas win against the Colts has got the “monkey off the back” for his team.
“It was good to beat Colts just before the break so hopefully we can now continue that form,” he said.
Rugby Skipper Nathan Munro said this game is the toughest one every season.
“It really tests the clubs depth,” he said. “There’ll be a bit of pressure on Jacob Hill, Ben Wheeler, Aiden Benneworth and myself to lift but hopefully we can get a bit from the players coming into the side and if we apply ourselves anything can happen.”
