More than 15 curious children and their carers learnt the art of engineering at a recent school holiday workshop hosted by the Dubbo Macquarie Regional Library.

The theme of ‘Curious Creatures’ have seen local children participate in a range of creative and educational sessions.
The Engineering workshop on January, 9 saw the young participants create a building made out of boxes, tape, straws and more.

They then had to design around it using magazines and newspapers.
The School holiday workshops are a part of the Library’s free drop-in activities over the next few weeks.
Next week from January 14 to 18 will see children aged between five and 12 create unique works of art from 10am to 12pm.

Then from January 21 to 25 imagination will run wild with all kinds of Lego building challenges from 10am to 12pm.
Lego Club is also currently running these school holidays from 2pm to 4pm, and will finish up on January 25.
