In the first eight days of 2019, some locations have received more than half of the long-term monthly rainfall for January.
Grenfell has been the wettest location this month with 39.8 millimetres of rain falling so far which is well on the way to the January average of 51.8mm.
Also receiving good rainfall has been Young 36.2mm (monthly average of 52.2mm), Parkes 29.6mm (62.2mm) and Cowra 28.2mm (59.6mm).
Weatherzone predictions are for continuing rain until Friday with the possibility of a thunderstorm on Wednesday.
