Stanley showed patience in the $14,000 feature race when she pulled the Leo Harland runner out wide with 200 metres left to run.
Wollartant had led the field into the short Gilgandra straight but a wall of chasers made up of Ridgi Ridge, Awild Enemy’s Pick and Trust Me Bill weren’t far away from the front runner.
Ridgi Ridge gave chase behind the leader towards the rail but it was out wide where Trust Me Bill was winding up.
Ashleigh Stanley caught up with Wollartant, trained by brother Justin, and continued to power ahead to a two length win.
In the three-way photo for second Ridgi Ridge ($15) edged out Awild Enemy’s Pick ($8.50) while Wollartant ($6.50) missed out.
The win is one of the biggest of Stanley’s young career to date, coming not long after guiding her father Peter’s Narrow Neck Nelson to a maiden win.
