The Narromine couple welcomed Nash Taffy White into the world at 10.49am on Tuesday, New Year’s Day.
On Friday they were preparing to take him home and introduce him to big brother Tyson White, 10.
The struggle to conceive a baby of their own made Nash’s arrival all the more special.
“We tried for a very long time and it just didn’t happen,” Mrs White said.
“We were about to go onto IVF but we put it in the back of our heads and moved...and we fell pregnant.”

At 35 weeks gestation the baby was determined to be in a frank breech position leading to a caesarean delivery on Tuesday morning.
After an arduous wait for a baby, Nash’s mum was determined to do what was necessary to ensure he was “safe”.
Mrs White wants her new son to “know he’s loved, know he’s cared about and to do his best”.
“As long as he tries to do his best, I will always be proud of him,” she said.
Mr and Mrs White are excited that their son, who weiged 2.96 kilograms and measured 48 centimetres at birth, will forever be part of Dubbo Hospital’s history.
“He’s a little angel, he’s a little miracle,” Mrs White said.
