Polling now goes behind closed doors for the rest of the season but it’s Patterson all the other players are chasing.
The Tigers star has made a massive impact with both bat and ball early in the 2018/19 campaign and that has seen him collect 11 points through the opening eight rounds.

He is two points clear of CYMS’ Ben Strachan, another hard-hitting opening bowler, while Rugby’s Jacob Hill is a further point back.
In total, 39 individual players have collected points during the first half of the season.
Players from the top three sides dominate the top 10, with Newtown, RSL-Colts and ladder-leading CYMS each having three players each sitting there.
Steve Skinner and Wayne Dunlop, the competition's leading wicket-taker and run-scorer respectively, each have seven points.
Colts duo Brad Cox, Marty Jeffrey and the improved Rhys Beauchamp each have six points.
The medal is named after the former long-serving Daily Liberal sports editor.
