The Paramount Tennis Club's spring competition has wrapped up with some great action across all grades.

The spring competition, which commenced in mid-October and concluded on Thursday night, saw a number of players show vast improvement while the usual suspects across each grade playing to their expected high standards.
In the A Grade competition, Mike Sutherland, Terry Miller, Sean Basille and Dylan Cox were a level above all comers, taking the title from Nathan Astri, Paul Wells (filling in for Jon May), Wayne Henry and David Poole finishing in second.
In the B Grade competition, Gerard Cahill, Stuart Eckford, Tom Sienkiewicz and Judy Knapp were victorious over Charlie Quilty, Caroline Bromham, Graeme Wallace and Allan Blanch.
In the C Grade competition, team Richard Clarke, Sarah McManus, Irina Musat and Frank Roberts were the winners with Jane Keys, Lucy Samuels, Annabelle Fisher and Jane Sykes runners-up.
The C Grade competition also gave awards to Leeann Weber who was most improved, James Samuels who was the most reliable reserve and Suraj Malla who was the biggest personality.
Players will now enjoy a break during the Christmas and New Year period, with the summer competition to commence at the end of January.
A New Year Open Day is planned for Sunday, 20 January where regular and new players will have a chance to play tennis and get information on the year ahead at the club.
