Police executed a warrant to search the Cobar district property of James Edward Cain and Kerrie Louise Cain in May.
Officers found and seized a number of firearms and ammunition.
Among these were three pistols, two prohibited rifles and an unsecured and unregistered 12-gauge shotgun, which Mr Cain was charged over, agreed facts tendered to the court show.
On Wednesday Mr Cain, 59, and Mrs Cain, 57, sat side by side in Dubbo Local Court as their solicitor represented them before magistrate Gary Wilson.
Mr Cain pleaded guilty to the strictly indictable charge of possessing more than three unregistered firearms, including a pistol or prohibited firearm.
The Crown elected to have a charge of possessing an unauthorised prohibited firearm dealt with on indictment.
Mr Cain pleaded guilty to that charge, as well as another five related charges.
With those pleas entered, the Crown withdrew the remaining 12 charges against him.
The agreed facts show Mr Cain was the holder of a category A and B firearms licence.
That licence does not allow the holder to possess, use or carry any pistol or self-loading style firearm.
Mr Cain was committed for sentence to the District Court of NSW at Bourke in February.
The court then dealt with the proceedings against Mrs Cain.
She pleaded guilty that she, being the holder of a category A and B firearms licence, failed in respect of a firearm to which the licence applied, namely a Daisy air rifle, to store ammunition for the firearm in a locked, approved container and keep it separate from the firearm.
She also pleaded guilty that she, being in possession of a firearm, failed to take all reasonable precautions to ensure its safe keeping.
The Crown withdrew the remaining 17 charges against Mrs Cain.
Her matter was adjourned to Cobar Local Court in January.
