Accadacca have toured across Australia and overseas since 2000.
Rather than taking advantage of a path already forged by AC/DC, Accadacca aim to fill a growing void within the Australian music industry by recreating a period of music that will forever define rock and roll in this country.
While the band has been performing for many years, their ‘The AC/DC Story’ production is new.
“We thought it needs more, the story needs to be told,” Accadacca vocalist Larry Attard said.
“People bring their kids too and learn a bit about Australian rock n roll.”
The three hour interactive show documents the life and times of one of Australia’s finest ever musical exports.
Along with Mr Attard, is Dan Baker on bass, drummer Joe Simpson and guitarist Rick Mayher.
Mr Attard’s son, Jesse, performs lead guitar dressed as Angus Young, who he says goes “ballistic” with the performance.
“It's more about AC/DC then it is about us. We do it for people to appreciate what they’ve done,” he said.

The show will take audiences on a journey from humble beginnings of the legendary band through the Bon Scott era and the fallout from his death, through to the many highlights with Brian Johnson at the helm.
The AC/DC Story succeeds where others have failed through the use of visual mediums such as film clips, interviews, and rare photographs and combines them with a live performance from Accadacca in selected increments.
"It’s more a dedication to the actual band themselves,” Mr Attard said.
While AC/DC tribute bands have come and gone, Accadacca certainly are one of a kind with their newest production.
“It’s a whole different ball game, it’s not a tribute as such anymore. We call it a ‘rock-umentary’,” he said.

The production of The AC/DC Story has been well received by audiences, Mr Attard said, with some great reviews from people who have also taken their children along to the show.
“The kids end up big fans. They can’t thank us enough. I think we’ve hit the right formula,” he said.
Accadacca are bring The AC/DC Story to Dubbo on January 12 to the Dubbo RSL.
Mr Attard said audiences can expect to see not only a world touring band who are endorsed by ACDC, but three hours of getting taken back in time.
“If you close your eyes you’ll think you’re listening to the real band with Bon Scott and Brian Johnson,” he said.

“What we say in the posters is ‘you’ll laugh, you’ll cry and you’ll rock’ and that’s what pretty much happens through the show.”
The band have played in Europe about four times now and after wrapping up their Australian 2019 shows, will head over for their first tour of America in 2019.
“It’s going so well.. It’s awesome people love it,” Mr Attard said.
Unfortunately gone are the days when anyone could just see AC/DC play in a pub, Mr Attard said.
“We bring it out to the rural areas as well as overseas and the good thing about this show they can see the band in the older days as well as the new one,” he said.
“I’m not a one eyed person, I love all types of music but that (AC/DC) is probably the closest to my heart, with the other boys it’s the same way.
“I don’t think you could perform it properly if you didn’t love it.”
Mr Attard said he was looking forward to coming back out to Dubbo with the new show and said there are a few songs that really get crowds fired up, including Highway to Hell, Thunderstruck and Let Heavy Rock.
“I’ve go to tell you we have a ball doing it, it’s great. As long as people keep coming to see it, we’ll keep doing it,” he said.
The show does tour around Australia a lot, Mr Attard said.
“But we’re nothing if we haven’t got bums on seats. So get out and get your tickets,” he said.
