Bureau Chief of Staff Nick Lowther said it was an enjoyable day for everyone involved.
“We shared with our listeners anecdotes from former breakfast presenter Andrew Dunkley, former news presenter Carolyn Garner and former rural reporter Kym Goldsmith, it was great to hear them tell some stories of their time with our audience,” he said.
“We talked with our audience about some of the stories we have shared with them over the quarter century.
“What is pleasing when we go through the archives is the support we have had from Dubbo, including the councils which held the ABC to account about bringing a bureau here. We are grateful for the support we get from the public, we belonged to them, before the staff even got here.”
“We play a key role in the modern ABC.”
