About 6.30pm on Thursday a motorcycle and motor vehicle collided on the corner of Pozieres Street and Erskine Street.
Orana Mid-Western Police District Inspector Dan Skelly said the motorcycle was heading east on Erskine Street when the car drove out of Pozieres Street making a right-hand turn, travelling west on Erskine Street.

“The motorcyclist and the vehicle collided and the motorcyclist was ejected from the bike,” Inspector Skelly said.
“The bike basically disintegrated on impact with him landing heavily on the road sustaining a compound fracture to his right leg and suffering serious abrasions and lacerations.
“The motorbike has just been blown into pieces.”
Emergency services attended with NSW Ambulance paramedics treating the motorcyclist before he was taken to Dubbo Hospital.
“He was in a serious condition and he was expected to undergo an operation last night in an attempt to repair his injuries,” Inspector Skelly said.
The motor vehicle driver was uninjured.
The road was closed for about four hours and Crime Scene Investigators examined the crime scene.
Inspector Skelly said police were investigating the cause of the crash and no charges had been made.
“Though they’re significantly serious injuries and he was lucky he wasn’t killed, the damage on the car, he has really hit that car at speed, he’s a very lucky boy,” he said.
“Police appeal to people, especially at this time of year to be extra careful on the road as accidents like this can have tragic endings.
“Luckily for this fellow while he suffered serious injuries which could have very well been a fatal accident, this time round he was lucky even though he will have a fair road to recovery.”
