Dubbo College special education student musicians are in tune with the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) and its important work.
They have banded together with the college’s “mainstream” student musicians to raise $285 at a concert in the college’s Senior Campus cafeteria.
The money was recently presented to president of the RFDS Dubbo Support Group Terry Clark.
Brainchild of the concert, Year 12 student Jackson Murray, saw it as a fitting farewell to the college community and a way of raising money for the RFDS Dubbo Base, where he has been a volunteer since 2013.
“We decided to charge a $5 entry fee with all funds donated to the RFDS,” he said.
“It was a fabulous night and we had great support from the community.”
The base is currently undergoing major redevelopment.
