The Automated External Defibrillator (AED) was the second to be funded by the Golden Oldies Truck Club. The truck show, which was held in August, raised $14,000 for local charities, including more than $6500 for the Red Cross Dubbo.
Australian Red Cross Dubbo first aid trainer George Chapman said he was hoping to install 68 defibrillators in the high-traffic areas of the city.

He said he was hoping to have the penultimate defibrillator installed before Christmas.
Donations can be made for the defibrillators via the Rotary Club of Dubbo using BSB number 932 000 and account number 100 380 639. The donor’s name should be used as a reference.
