“What you’re doing here at The Exchange is so important,” he told the crowd at a breakfast event.
“Not only for Dubbo but for the future of our entire economy.
“It’s the reason I’m here today, to lend my support to this fabulous initiative and to let you know we want you (The Exchange) and other small businesses to succeed.”
The Exchange’s co-working spaces are being provided by Charles Sturt University Dubbo Campus.
“Business start-ups rely on collaboration, and co-working spaces like this one provide great opportunities for that collaboration to happen,” Mr Kean said.
Mr Kean hosted the event alongside The Exchange founder, Jilian Kilby, and The Nationals’ candidate for the seat of Dubbo, Dugald Saunders.
Ms Kilby said the breakfast crowd discussed the “future for regional co-working spaces” and the need for government support.
