Three Dubbo residents who made great strides in the aviation industry have been acknowledged by having roads named in their honour.
Olaf Weyand, Noel Howe and Max Walters will have three roads at Dubbo City Regional Airport named after them.

Mr Weyand, who was a chief pilot for 12 years, established AirLink Airline in 1974. The company eventually became part of Regional Express Airlines.

Mr Howe was part of a small group of pilots in 1994 who wondered why Dubbo did not have an Aero Club. The Dubbo Aero Club had dissolved but he was part o the group who got it back up and flying.
Former Dubbo deputy mayor Mr Walters has a long list of achievements, including the establishment of the Dubbo Rescue Squad. He was also part of the Dubbo Show Society, Orana Regional Development board and the International Polocrosse Council.
