The Village Bakery Cafe are celebrating their 100th birthday by showcasing their history and enjoying a pie-eating competition.

To commemorate their beginnings, some of their products will be sold for historic prices of 99 cents, while they will have a jumping castle for the kids.
Village Bakery cafe manager Emma Stevenson said as part of the 100 year celebrations, they had been going “old-school” selling “favourites” to generate excitement.
Prizes include a $2500 travel voucher, and $100 and $50 for those who place first and second in the pie and cake eating competitions.
