The half-yearly list ranks venues which have recorded 12 or more violent incidents in a 12-month period.
The Amaroo Hotel was listed fourth on the level two category with 15 violent incidents recorded.
The pub was listed in May 2016 and then removed in November 2016 but was re-listed in May and November 2018.
A Liquor and Gaming NSW spokesperson said levels of violent incidents at venues can fluctuate across reporting periods under the scheme.
“This highlights the need for venues to take a proactive approach to patron safety and constantly monitor and reduce risks of alcohol-related violence.”
The spokesperson said listed venues would be subject to a range of restrictions and they also face increased monitoring by Liquor and Gaming NSW.
“Our compliance officers work with listed venues to advise them on ways to improve their safety record.”
The restrictions include: cessation of alcohol services 30 minutes before closing; no glass containers to be used after midnight; and 10-minute alcohol sales timeout every hour after midnight or active distribution of water and or food.
Orana Mid-Western Police District Inspector Dan Skelly said police “want people to be safe when they go out, we want people to know or have some reasonable apprehension about where they can be safe”.
“All those conditions are designed to keep patrons safe,” Insp. Skelly said.
“We want people to go out and have a good time but we also want people to come home in one piece.
“We make no apologies for enforcing those conditions … we’re entrusted with keeping the public safe and that’s what we’ll continue to do.”
Liquor and Gaming NSW Deputy Secretary Paul Newson said the results show an improvement from the previous list and confirm that levels of alcohol-related violence continue to trend down.
“This shows the violent venues scheme is having a positive impact in encouraging venues to reduce levels of alcohol-related violence.”
Mr Newson said since the scheme began in 2008 there was 86 per cent less violent incidents at listed venues declining from 1,270 to 183.
