The chases started off with a 10km run for those cardio lovers, followed by a 5km run and finally ending with the 2km colour run.
Organiser Mel Ford said that money raised from the event will go towards the Young PCYC to install water bubblers. The exact amount was unknown however it she said it looks promising so far.
“It was a fantastic, family fun day enjoyed by all and the weather was beautiful,” Mel said.
The South West Slopes Rural Fire Services got behind the community ahead of the hot months by giving out fire safety plans.
The South West Slopes RFS also set up an obstacle course for those either waiting for their next events or for those who wanted a bit of a fun challenge.

Major sponsor Anytime Fitness Young also made an appearance at the Chinese Tribute Garden, running participants through a thorough warm up before running to minimise the risk of injury.
The Anytime Fitness team also handed out free selfie sticks so that participants could get a colourful shot of themselves during, before and after the colour run.
“There was entertainment provided at the Chinese Tribute Garden for participants all morning,” Mel said.
“There was coffee and ice cream and a lot of participants stayed out at the Tribute Garden after the event to have lunch.”
The Young PCYC will benefit significantly from the funds that were raised throughout the morning.
Although the installation of water bubblers is what most of the funding will go towards, the money is looking promising enough to benefit the grounds surrounding the PCYC, such as the netball courts.
“I’d like to thank all of the sponsors who were really great and supportive before and during the event,” Mel said.
“It was a really great day and everyone seemed to have really enjoyed it, so that is also great to know.”
